About the Office of Educational Partnerships
The Office of Educational Partnerships was established in October 2005 to manage the University’s partnership arrangements with educational providers in Australia and overseas. Information on the areas covered by the Office of Educational Partnerships is provided below.
Offshore Programs
The University recognises the importance of providing an equivalent learning experience for its’ students located offshore. The Office of Educational Partnerships works to facilitate the development of offshore course proposals which meet the business and academic standards required by the University.
Domestic Partnerships
The Office of Educational Partnerships provides a range of services to the University in the development of partnership arrangements and partnership agreements with educational providers in Australia.
Unit Licensing Arrangements
The Office of Educational Partnerships facilitates the development of international and domestic partnerships for both the licensing-out of units to form part of a non-Murdoch University award or the licensing-in of units to form part of a Murdoch award.
Student Exchange
The University has a wide reaching and vibrant student exchange program with partners throughout the world. The Office of Educational Partnerships works with the University’s International Office to establish exchange agreements providing exchange opportunities for students world-wide.
Partnership Visits
Welcoming visitors to the University is an important step in building links and collaborative partnerships with educational providers both in Australia and overseas. The Office of Educational Partnerships assists in arranging institution to institution visits as well as facilitating the development of Memoranda of Understanding.
Murdoch Institute of Technology
The Murdoch Institute of Technology is based on Murdoch University’s South
Street Campus and provides courses designed to prepare students for direct entry
into Murdoch University’s wide range of undergraduate programs. The Office of
Educational Partnerships is actively involved in facilitating the partnership
between MIT and Murdoch University on a day to day management basis.
Contractual Reviews
The Office of Educational Partnerships supports the Pro Vice Chancellor (Enterprise
and International) by providing coordination services with respect to annual
contractual reviews of offshore programs, international agreements, domestic
partnerships and unit licensing arrangements.
